I am a lover of people, animals and the planet.

The more I learn and grow, the more I realise that every choice I make has a bigger impact that what I can physically see. So I have made it my mission in life to…

‘Live an Amazing Life that is Light on our Planet.’

I want to leave this Earth knowing that I did what I could to make it a better place than when I found it.

I didn’t grow up like this… it’s been a journey… a slow one – one step at a time.

I have studied Sustainable Development, and I have worked as an environmentalist in Australia and Africa over the last 8 years.

There was a switch that happened a few years ago… one where I was looking to everyone else to make changes that would be better for our planet (government’s, companies, the wider public) But what I wasn’t doing enough was really looking at the steps I could be taking in how I live my own life. Sure I was doing bits and pieces, but I wasn’t really inspired by the small actions, I wanted big change.

Small actions when multiplied by thousands are no longer small.

This inspired me, and instead of being angry and sad about the state of our environment, I found hope in the steps I can take to live lighter on this planet, and still live an amazing life.

15 years ago, I started looking at how I could create sustainable change in my community and created a local green directory – showcasing businesses and organisations that were sustainable and needed to be supported in our local community. I then started helping businesses look at the ways they can be more sustainable, save money, and attract more customers, I started the Green Scene to help businesses do that.

I also trained to become a Living Smart Facilitator which is a program that looks at all the positive steps we can take in our lives to Live Smarter. I have now taught 4 of these programs in the community and I love the way they have connected community members and inspired positive actions. It has opened my eyes and helped me move forward on my journey.

I have thrown myself deep into this journey and learnt so much… I still have so much to learn, but I love to inspire others, I love to share what inspires me.
